LA COOPERATIVA

Fiori d’Agar è una cooperativa senza fini lucrativi, nata nel maggio del 2015 a Lisbona grazie ad un gruppo internazionale di artisti e professionisti che si sono uniti per concretizzare il progetto AgarArte che promuove l’arte, la cultura e la sostenibilità economica, sociale e ambientale e migliora la vita dei residenti attraverso l’offerta di iniziative culturali.

IL PROGETTO

AgarArte è un nuovo progetto culturale che è nato per rispondere ad una necessità di molti artisti e artigiani di disporre di uno spazio per creare e vendere opere d’arte e prodotti, per sensibilizzare il pubblico offrendogli la possibilità di partecipare al procedimento artistico da vicino, per dare l’opportunità agli artisti di vivere del proprio lavoro e per proporre un punto di riferimento per le arti alternative, fuori dagli schemi del mercato.

Con questo obiettivo la cooperativa ha affittato un locale a Lisbona e l’ha in parte restaurato con il sostegno di volontari per dare finalmente vita al progetto. In questo momento, infatti, AgarArte dispone di un luogo (il pianterreno) dove realizza attività culturali che spaziano tra le varie aree artistiche - musica, teatro, letteratura, fotografia, danza, yoga, arte e artigianato - e dove artisti e artigiani possono esprimersi, esporre, insegnare e scambiare idee tra loro e con il proprio pubblico.

Nonostante la buona volontà di tutti i partecipanti la cooperativa non è ancora riuscita a portare a termine il progetto per mancanza di fondi e quindi non ha attualmente la possibilità di offrire un laboratorio/atelier dove artisti e artigiani possano creare e produrre.

A COSA SERVE IL TUO CONTRIBUTO?

I locali del piano interrato, che saranno adibiti come laboratorio e utilizzati da artisti e artigiani per sviluppare progetti e creare opere d’arte e prodotti artigianali, hanno bisogno di essere recuperati.

Il tuo contributo servirà per:

finanziare i lavori di ristrutturazione e agibilità del locale interrato

migliorare le strutture e le funzionalità del pianterreno così da ampliare le attività culturali che tuttora decorrono

per sostentare le nostre iniziative permettendoci di raggiungere gli obiettivi prefissati.

PERCHÉ LO STIAMO CHIEDENDO PROPRIO A TE?

Ti stiamo chiedendo un contributo perché la cooperativa è un ente senza scopi lucrativi, costituito grazie alla volontà e al supporto di soli volontari. Tutto quello che è stato prodotto finora è il risultato di ore di lavoro e di ricerca del nostro staff che ha impiegato finanziamenti e competenze personali per sviluppare il progetto, che ha come principi fondamentali l’azione sociale collettiva e la sostenibilità ambientale.

Vogliamo che AgarArte sia frutto di una collaborazione e partecipazione di chi considera l’Arte una forma di espressione fondamentale per la crescita personale, capace di alimentare anima e mente e di chi condivide i nostri ideali ambientali che si basano sulla sostenibilità.

Abbiamo bisogno del tuo supporto per costruire insieme un progetto che ha lo scopo di valorizzare l’arte e l’ambiente, generatori di evoluzione e benessere per la società.

THE COOPERATIVE

Fiori d'Agar is a nonprofit cooperative, born in May 2015 in Lisbon, thanks to an international group of artists and professionals who have joined their forces to implement the AgarArte project. It promotes arts, culture and the economic, social and environmental sustainability and contributes to improve the life of the residents by offering cultural activities.

THE PROJECT

AgarArte is a new cultural project, created to meet a need for many artists and craftspeople to have a space to create and sell artworks and products, to raise public awareness by offering to the people the chance to participate in the artistic process closely, to give an opportunity to the artists to live on their work and to propose a point of reference for alternative arts, outside of the market schemes.

With this aim, the cooperative rented a place in Lisbon and has partially restored it with the support of volunteers, to finally give life to the project. At this time, AgarArte has a place (the ground floor) dedicated to cultural activities ranging between the different artistic areas - music, theater, literature, photography, dance, yoga, arts and crafts - and where artists and craftspeople can express themselves, exhibit, teach and exchange ideas among themselves and with their public.

Despite the efforts of all the participants, the cooperative has not yet succeeded to carry out its project for lack of funds and so does not currently have the possibility to offer a workshop/studio where artists and craftspeople can create and produce.

HOW WILL YOUR CONTRIBUTION BE USED?

The rooms of the basement floor — which will be used as a laboratory by artists and craftspeople to develop projects and create works of art and craft products —, need to be renovated.

Your contribution will be used to:

finance the works of refurbishment and usability of the basement room;

improve the facilities and the features of the ground floor in order to increase the cultural activities that currently take place there;

to support our activities allowing us to achieve our objectives.

WHY ARE WE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP?

We are asking for a contribution because the cooperative is a non-profit entity, created thanks to the will and the support of only volunteers. All that has been produced so far is the result of hours of work and investigation of our staff who employed personal loans and skills to develop the project, which key principles are collective social action and environmental sustainability.

We wish that AgarArte could be a collaborative effort of those who consider Art an essential form of expression for personal growth, capable of nourishing soul and mind, and of those who share our environmental ideals based on sustainability.

We need your support to build together a project that aims to promote arts and enhance the environment, generators of evolution and well-being for society.
