La terra fornisce abbastanza risorse per ogni uomo, ma non per la sua avidità. Inquinamento, sfruttamento incontrollato, ingordigia, stanno rovinando questo nostro mondo in modo irreversibile…

EOD, earth overshoot day, ne avete mai sentito parlare? È il giorno in cui la terra consuma le risorse prodotte in un intero anno. Negli ultimi 70 anni questo giorno ha anticipato sempre di più il suo arrivo. Se l’umanità non dovesse regolare lo spreco delle sue risorse naturali, si stima che nel 2050 si arriverà a consumare più del doppio di quello che la terra riesce a produrre in un solo anno. Se si dovesse continuare così l’unica via è l’estinzione. Per troppi anni i governi hanno ignorato l’importanza di questo giorno non considerando che poteva essere quello della loro morte. Ad un passo dal declino qualcuno sembra aver trovato la soluzione al problema…

The Earth provides enough resources for every human, but not for its avidity. Pollution, uncontrollable exploitation, greediness are ruining this world in an irreversible way…

EOD, Earth Overshoot Day, have you ever heard about it? It's the day when the Earth consumes all the resources it produces in a year. In the last 70 years, this day has kept moving up its arrival. If humanity will not control the waste of its natural resources, by 2050 we will be consuming twice the amount of resources that the Earth is able to produce in a year. If things stay this way, the only option is extinction. For too long the governments have ignored the importance of this day, not considering that it could be the day of their death. A step away from downfall someone seems to have found a solution to the problem…..

IL PROGETTO

Il progetto vuole porre le basi su una questione importante e di vitale importanza. Da anni l'uomo prosciuga in modo incontrollato la terra e i suoi frutti. L'aumento dell'inquinamento e dei gas serra contribuisce alla distruzione di piante, animali e terreni in coltivazione. Si parla troppo spesso della fine del mondo dovuta a guerre o surriscaldamento globale dimenticando che quello che potrebbe uccidere molto più in fretta è il consumo delle nostre materie prime. 

Questo progetto nasce dalla voglia di un gruppo di persone che vuole focalizzare l'attenzione su questo argomento raccontandolo con l'inconfondibile bellezza del cinema in un racconto fantastico. Passione, dolore, sopravvivenza saranno solo alcune delle cose che verranno raccontate in questo cortometraggio ambientato tra le verdi colline Veronesi in tutto il loro splendore primaverile.

The project wants to lay the foundation for an important and vital matter. For years man has drained uncontrollably the Earth and its products. The growth of pollution and greenhouse gasses contributes to the destruction of plants, animals and cultivated land. People talk too often about the end of the world attributable to wars or global warming forgetting that what could kill us a lot faster is the abuse of our raw materials.

This project was born from the will of a group of people that wants to focus the attention on this topic narrating it with the unique beauty of cinema in a fantastic tale. Passion, pain, and survival will only be a few of the themes addressed in this short film set in Verona’s green hills in all their spring glory.

Il progetto prevedere il raggiungimento di un budget di 3000€ che dovrebbe garantire la copertura parziale del noleggio del materiale necessario per poter girare il film. Dagli strumenti di produzione (luci, props, camera, costumi, location, attori...) fino alla post-produzione. In caso si dovesse superare il budget il film sarà doppiato.

The project forecasts the achieving of 3000 euros that should grant the partial coverage of the rental of the material needed to shoot the film. From production instruments (such as lights, props, camera, costumes, location, actors, etc..) to post-production. In case the budget was to be exceeded the film will be lapped.
