IL PROGETTO 

La diversità è tutt’ora un argomento che, oltre ad essere molto delicato, risulta attuale e ricorrente in ogni tipo di ambito, partendo da quello politico fino ad arrivare per esempio a quello culturale e sociale. La diversità, essendo un tema vasto e generale, può essere suddivisa in tanti aspetti, tra cui quello etnico e razziale, sessuale e sociale. La diversità sia il dono più importante di questo mondo e noi abbiamo il compito di sfruttarlo al meglio. Abbiamo infatti il difficile progetto di mettere da parte il conformismo, le convenzioni e la quotidianità e concentrarci su ciò che ci può realmente arricchire a livello personale.
Attraverso lo spettacolo dal vivo, infatti, possiamo ammirare tutto ciò che è convenzionalmente ritenuto diverso da noi stessi e abbiamo la possibilità e il dovere di arricchirci osservando la cultura, i costumi e la lingua altrui. Solo attraverso la diversità nel mondo possiamo completare la nostra persona e mantenerla tale. La nostra unicità viene consacrata attraverso la diversità.
Struttura del progetto
La prima edizione del festival si svolge dal 24 al 27 Settembre 2020 (COVID-19 PERMETTENDO) in spazi Off e Teatrali della città di Napoli. La mappatura artistica prevede spazi come: palazzo Fondi, l’ex Asilo Filangieri, Galleria 19 e uno spazio teatrale da definire e offre spettacoli che mirano alla contemporaneità, espressa attraverso le diverse forme della danza. La programmazione si articola in spettacoli, laboratori, speech, showcase e party notturni:

• Spettacoli

Il cuore pulsante del Festival che racchiude il tema principale: Diversità. Gli spettacoli vengono selezionati attraverso un’apposita call pubblica;
• Laboratori

Presso il refettorio dell’ex-Asilo Filangieri viene svolto un laboratorio di tre giorni con restituzione pubblica in modo da includere gli studenti del territorio nel progetto;
• Speech
L’intento è quello di far intervenire esperti riguardo la tematica principale del festival attraverso scambi di pensieri ed informazioni negli spazi di Palazzo Fondi. I possibili partners sono associazioni (come l’Arcigay di Napoli) ed enti pubblici (Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II);
• Showcase

Questa sezione, che si svolge in un unico evento, riguarda prettamente le compagnie di danza del territorio;
• Party

Il party conclusivo si colloca in un locale notturno nel cuore di Napoli dove, usualmente, viene accolta la comunità LGBT.

CHI SIAMO?

Cornelia è una compagnia di danza e performing arts, nata nel giugno 2019 con sede a Napoli da: Nyko Piscopo, Eleonora Greco, Francesco Russo, Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello, Leopoldo Guadagno.
Dal 2018 con la direzione artistica della rassegna di teatro e danza “Pausa Palco” che vede svolgersi ogni anno al Teatro Ateneo di Casoria.
Dal 2019 presso il museo Cam di Casoria organizza happening performativi coinvolgendo diversi artisti.
Nel primo anno di lavoro, le produzioni si aggiudicano premi e riconoscimenti:  “Blubell” di Francesco Russo - M.U.D.- C.RE.A.RE Campania; 
"STL" di Nyko Piscopo - menzione speciale "light on dance" - Balletto di Roma;
"The Last One" di Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello - "Residenza" - Movimento Danza;
"Your Body Is A Battleground" di Adriano Bolognino - Biennale di Venezia 2020.

 Nell'anno 2019/2020 vengono prodotti i seguenti lavori: “Sleeping    Beauty” di Nyko Piscopo; “Kurup” di Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello;      “RM94978 from Paris to Tenerife” di Adriano Bolognino; “Thousand Times Goodnight” e “Puppienspieler” di Nyko Piscopo; “Zona Rossa” di Eleonora Greco con la residenza artistica di Marche Teatro; 
La compagnia come partner sostiene gli spettacoli: “Sweet Swan Sway” di Nyko Piscopo prodotto da ARB-DanceCompany con debutto nel Marzo 2019 inizia da Settembre 2019 fino al Marzo 2020 una tournée mondiale in Turchia, Armenia, Italia e Ungheria; il trittico “LOST” di Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello prodotto dalla compagnia Körper con la co-produzione del Comunale di Vicenza ed inserito all’interno del Networx Anticorpi XL.

Pygmenti International contemporary dance festival

Diversity is still a topic that is not only very delicate, but also present every day and recurrent in all different kinds of fields, from the political one to, i.e., the cultural and social one. Diversity, as a wide and general theme, can be divided into many aspects, including the ethnical and racial ones, as well the sexual and the social ones. Diversity is the most important gift of this world, and we need to take the most advantage of it. Indeed, we are working on the difficult project of putting aside conformity, convention and routine, in order to be focused on what can really enrich us.

Through live shows, we can admire what is considered conventionally different from ourselves, and we have the possibility and the duty to enrich ourselves by observing the culture, traditions and others’ language. In the world, only through diversity, we are given the opportunity to complete and grow our own identity. Our uniqueness is consecrated by diversity.

PROJECT STRUCTURE

The first edition of the festival takes place in Naples, from 24th to 27th September 2020 (WAITING NEWS ABOUT COVID-19) in off and theater environments. The artistic mapping includes venues such as: “Palazzo Fondi”, “Ex Asilo Filangieri”, “Galleria 19” and a theatrical space still to be defined. We offer shows that aim at modernity, expressed through different styles of dance. The scheduling is divided into shows, workshops, speeches, showcases and night parties:

• Shows

The beating heart of the Festival which contains the main theme: Diversity. 

The shows are selected by a specific public call;

• Workshops

To include local students in the project, in the refectory of “Ex Asilo Filangieri”, there will be a three-days dance workshop with an open final performance;

• Speech

The goal is to bring in, in the spaces of "Palazzo Fondi, experts regarding the main theme of the festival by sharing thoughts and information. The possible partners are associations (such as Arcigay of Naples) and public entities (University of Naples Federico II);

• Showcase

This section, that takes place only in one day-event, involves mainly the dance companies of the area;

• Party

The final party takes place in a club in the heart of Naples where the LGBT community is usually welcomed.

Cornelia is a dance and performing arts company, based in Napoli and founded in June 2019 by: Nyko Piscopo, Eleonora Greco, Francesco Russo, Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello, Leopoldo Guadagno.

Since 2018, Cornelia has been managing the artistic direction of ‘Pausa Palco’, a dance festival which takes place every year at the Ateneo Theater of Casoria.

Since 2019, at the Cam museum of Casoria, Cornelia has been organizing events involving different artists and performances.

During the first year of foundation, the productions has been awarded many prizes: "Blubell" by Francesco Russo - M.U.D.- C.RE.A.RE Campania;

"STL" by Nyko Piscopo - special mention "light on dance" - Balletto di Roma;

"The Last One" by Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello - "Residency" - Movement Dance;

"Your Body Is A Battleground" by Adriano Bolognino -Biennale di Venezia 2020.

During the years 2019/2020, Cornelia had produced the following performances: "Sleeping Beauty" by Nyko Piscopo; "Kurup" by Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello; "RM94978 from Paris to Tenerife" by Adriano Bolognino;"Thousand Times Goodnight" and “Puppienspieler" by Nyko Piscopo and "Zona Rossa" by Eleonora Greco with the support of Marche Teatro;

The company supports, as a partner, the shows :"Sweet Swan Sway" choreographed by Nyko Piscopo and produced by ARB-DanceCompany with its premiere in March 2019 and from September 2019 until March 2020 a world tour performing  in Turkey, Armenia, Italy and Hungary;  "LOST" choreographed by Nicolas Grimaldi Capitello and produced by the company  Körper with the support of the Vicenza City Council; the performance is included inside the Networx Anticorpi XL.
