Help La Fonte Musica and Michele Pasotti to realize the first ever Recording of Antonio Zacara da Teramo's Complete Works!
Antonio Zacara da Teramo was an eminent composer who lived between the end of the Fourteenth Century and the beginning of the Fifteenth Century. Renowned also as a sculptor and illuminator, he was was first of all a great singer and Maestro di Cappella of the Pope. His compositions are extraordinary, very innovative, imaginative and they span from the funniest and even grotesque songs, full of life, games, riddles to the most sublime, complex and virtuosistic Glorias and Credos. Zacara's music deserves to be better known in all its varietyand beauty, and this is our goal.
Some numbers
- 18 musicians (8 singers and 10 instrumentalists) involved in the recordings
- 50 pieces to record for a total of approximately 220 minutes for Alpha Classics label.
- We are helped by a scientific commitee composed by Prof. Jason Stoessel, University of New England, Armidale, Australia, Prof. Francesco Zimei, Istituto Abruzzese di Musica Sacra, Prof. Andreas Janke, University of Hamburg, Centre for the Study of Manuscript Cultures
A video will be produced as a presentation and memory of the recordings.
The money you will decide to give us will cover a part of the costs of the recording, editing and mixing of the Complete Works.
