Once Upon the Bees

Ispirato ad un progetto di due giovani ragazze Italo-canadesi, Alice e Désirée, che sono riuscite ad emozionare la loro comunità, trasmettendo il loro amore per le api. Tutto è iniziato come iniziano le favole: "Once upon a bee" (C'era una volta un'ape) per arrivare alla realizzazione di floridi e felici alveari, alla produzione di miele salutare e gustoso, allo sviluppo di un'ampia gamma di programmi educativi rivolti a chiunque fosse interessato. Tutto questo per sensibilizzare le persone verso la tutela di un prezioso mondo in pericolo, quello delle api.

La Vision...

Quest'ultimo aspetto ha risuonato dentro di me fino ad avere chiaro che raccontare il mondo delle api ai bambini "da zero a 100" anni, come usiamo dire a Panta rei, potrebbe essere il nostro contributo per garantire la sopravvivenza delle api e permetterci di scoprire quanto possiamo imparare da loro, soprattutto rispetto alla loro organizzazione sociale. Una vera fonte di ispirazione per migliorare la nostra società.

Questo progetto si colloca tra i contenuti dell'Associazione "Panta Rei", il cui principale tratto identitario è quello di educare alla consapevolezza dei gesti quotidiani attraverso il fare, l'amore per la natura e tutte le sue creature, umani compresi.

La Mission...

Il progetto consiste nella realizzazione di un campus permanente con installazione di un apiario, per raccontare, osservare e sperimentare come queste creature meravigliose siano indispensabili per l’equilibrio dell'ecosistema, e per farci godere dei preziosi doni che, nella bella stagione, ci offrono, in particolare miele, polline, propoli.

Uno degli aspetti fondamentali del campus è di sensibilizzare il territorio rispetto all'importanza delle api sia per la sopravvivenza di quest'ultime, sia per la promozione della biodiversità, prima garanzia di salute e di bellezza di un territorio. Invitando scuole, istituzioni locali, associazioni ambientaliste, associazioni dei coltivatori e le persone interessate, alla partecipazione di convegni, forum, corsi e feste, per lasciarci sorprendere dalle api e dalla loro libertà.

Scopriremo e gestiremo le loro esigenze e, accudendole con tanto amore, lasceremo che ci migliorino anche in ambiti apparentemente distanti dalle api.

In conclusione, come ho appreso dalla mia cara amica Maria Luisa Pasquarella, perseguiremo obiettivi produttivi ed educativi “win-win-win-win”, a vantaggio di tutti: le api, la natura, l'essere umano e tutta la nostra meravigliosa terra.

Ringraziamenti

Questo è un sogno cominciato due anni fa e, con il succedersi di piccoli passi, tanto studio, tanta esperienza pratica, tanti spazi di confronto e tanta soddisfazione, si sta realizzando.

Questo grazie a Maria Luisa Pasquarella, Dino Mengucci, Stella Scordo che mi affiancherà nel progetto, e tutti gli amici di Panta Rei che mi hanno sempre incoraggiato; grazie alla Cooperativa Bioapi che mi ha formato per costruirmi le basi dell'affascinante mestiere di apicultore; ed infine, grazie a tutti gli autori dei libri che mi hanno dato la possibilità di approfondire, in modo accurato, il meraviglioso mondo delle api. In particolar modo Paolo Fontana per il suo "Il piacere delle api" e Mark L. Winston per il suo "Il tempo delle api". Un ringraziamento speciale al Comitato Direttivo dell'Associazione Panta Rei che ha sempre permesso di mettere le ali ad una buona intuizione, una passione, un ideale, un sogno.

Once Upon the Bees

Inspired by a project by two young Italian-Canadian girls, Alice and Désirée, who managed to excite their community, transmitting their love for bees. It all started as the fairy tales begin: "Once upon a bee" (Once upon a time there was a bee) to get to the realization of florid and happy beehives, to the production of healthy and tasty honey, to the development of a wide range of educational programs for anyone interested. All this to make people aware of the protection of a precious world in danger, that of bees.

The Vision ...

This last aspect has resounded inside me until it became clear that telling the world of bees to children "from zero to 100 years," as we say to Panta rei, could be our contribution to guaranteeing the survival of bees and allowing us to find out how much we can learn from them, especially with respect to their social organization. A true source of inspiration to improve our society.

This project is one of the contents of the "Panta Rei" Association, whose main trait is to educate to the awareness of daily gestures through doing, love for nature and all its creatures, including humans.

The central vision of the project, conceived by Dino Mengucci, founder of Panta Rei, and integrated with the contribution of Maria Luisa Pasquarella, is to attribute to "doing" the role of getting together in a relationship of mutual education in which to exchange knowledge and to reflect on the questions that arise concerning the happiness of people and the impact on the environment, in its main variations (productive, economic, anthropological, educational, social, historical, juridical, artistic, cultural, spiritual processes) in a perspective of free territory because responsible, healthy and responsive to love

The Mission ...

The project consists of the creation of a permanent campus with the installation of an apiary, to tell, observe and experience how these wonderful creatures are indispensable for the balance of the ecosystem, and for us to enjoy the precious gifts that, in the summer, offer us , in particular honey, pollen, propolis.

One of the fundamental aspects of the campus is to raise awareness of the territory with respect to the importance of bees both for the survival of the latter and for the promotion of biodiversity, the first guarantee of health and beauty of an area. Inviting schools, local institutions, environmental associations, farmers' associations and interested persons to participate in conferences, forums, courses and parties, to let us be surprised by bees and their freedom.

We will discover and manage their needs and, taking care of them with much love, we will let them improve even in areas that are apparently far from the bees.

In conclusion, as I learned from my dear friend Maria Luisa Pasquarella, we will pursue win-win-win-win production and educational goals, to the benefit of all: bees, nature, the human being and all our wonderful earth .

This is a dream that began two years ago and, with the succession of small steps, a lot of study, a lot of practical experience, lots of spaces for comparison and a lot of satisfaction, is taking shape.
