Le famiglie di Innessack ci chiedono di aiutarle a rendere ancora possibile la vita e lo sviluppo nel loro villaggio: vogliono costruire un pozzo e una cisterna che offrano a tutti una stabile riserva d’acqua... ed è solo il primo passo

Vogliamo raccontarti di un luogo molto lontano dall’Italia nel quale vive una comunità unita e solidale che però rischia di disgregarsi e disperdere la propria ricchezza culturale e la sua capacità di vivere in armonia con l’ambiente: Innessack. 

Innessack si trova in una zona rurale vicino alla città di Tombouctou, non è ancora un vero villaggio ma i membri di questa comunità desiderano che lo diventi, rendendo  più stabile il proprio insediamento e combattendo l'emigrazione di tanti giovani.

Proprio qui con il tuo aiuto vogliamo realizzare un progetto che risponda alle esigenze più urgenti di questa comunità in un territorio dove le dure condizioni ambientali e sociali impediscono una vita che offra prospettive di crescita e sviluppo, soprattutto ai bambini. Il primo ostacolo è la mancanza di una stabile riserva d'acqua, e poi l’assenza di un accesso sicuro alle cure sanitarie di base e la difficoltà a frequentare la scuola.

Alassane ha scattato la foto in alto nel corso del suo ultimo viaggio in Mali, il paese da cui è partito quasi vent'anni fa per raggiungere l'Europa. Guardando la foto che ritrae Aminata (la bambina in primo piano) e gli altri ragazzi intorno, Alassane ricorda il momento in cui è nata l'idea del suo progetto: il caldo, l'ombra dell'albero e le borse colme d'acqua appese ai rami, frutto di un duro cammino. Allora ha pensato che voleva fare qualcosa affinché quei bambini non dovessero percorrere una strada tanto lunga per portare l'acqua alle proprie famiglie ma sapeva che per realizzare un simile progetto, la sua idea doveva essere condivisa dall'intera comunità. 

Tornato in Italia, dove vive e lavora come mediatore interculturale, Alassane ha continuato a mantenere i contatti con la comunità di Innessack e, nel frattempo l'associazione per cui lavora (Sanità di frontiera onlus ) ha deciso di sostenerlo.

IL PRIMO PASSO Il cuore del progetto prevede oggi la creazione di un pozzo e di una cisterna che possano garantire approvvigionamento idrico all’intera comunità:vogliamo garantire a tutto il villaggio il fondamentale elemento di vita, acqua sicura. 

I PASSI SUCCESSIVI Quando il primo progetto sarà ultimato vorremmo proseguire insieme il percorso, che prevede la realizzazione di un presidio sicuro che offra cure sanitarie di base e la costruzione di una piccola scuola per i bambini del villaggio.

The families of Innessack are asking us to help them improve their lives and ensure that development in their village is still possible. They want to build a well and a cistern to offer everyone a stable water supply ... and this is only the first step

We want to tell you about a place very far from Italy, Innessack, where a united and supportive community lives, a community which, however, risks disintegration and the dispersion of its cultural wealth and its ability to live in harmony with the environment

Innessack is located in a rural area near the city of Tombouctou. It is not yet a real village but the members of this community want it to become one, making their settlement more stable and fighting the emigration of many of their young people.

With your help, we want to carry out a project that responds to their most urgent needs, in an area where the harsh environmental and social conditions prevent a life that offers growth and developmental prospects, especially for children. The three greatest obstacles are: the lack of a stable water supply, the absence of safe access to basic health care and finally, the difficulty of attending school.

Alassane and his dream

Alassane took this photo during his last trip to Mali, the country from which he left almost twenty years ago to reach Europe. Alassane remembers the moment when the idea of ​​his project was born as he looked at a photo portraying Aminata (the little girl in the foreground), some boys around her, the heat, the shade of the tree and bags full of water hanging from the branches, the fruit of a difficult journey. It was that moment that he realised that he wanted to do something so that those children did not have to go a long way to fetch water for their families. However, he knew that to carry out such a project, he could not do it alone. His idea had to be shared with others.

Back in Italy, where he lives and works as an intercultural mediator, Alassane has continued to maintain contact with the Innessack community and, in the meantime, the association he works for, Sanità di Frontiera, Onlus, has decided to dream his dream, to join forces with him.

THE FIRST STEP

The heart of the project involves the creation of a well and a cistern that would guarantee a water supply for the entire community. We want to guarantee the whole village the essential element for life, safe water.

THE NEXT STEPS

When the first objective is completed, we would like to continue the process together, which involves the construction of a safe facility that offers basic health care and a small school for the children of the village.
